We are proud to be finalists at the Patient Experience Network Awards!

We are pleased to share that we have been shortlisted for the Patient Experience Network Awards final in the Measuring, Reporting and Acting - Using Insight for Improvement category, with our entry: Extended Service Access to Cervical Screening.
This recognition highlights the outstanding work led by the early cancer diagnosis team, supported by the 7-Day team. Together, they designed and delivered an enhanced access service offering cervical screening appointments in the evenings and weekends.
The service was developed in response to feedback and insights gathered following the successful Cervical Screening Living Well Bus pilot in July 2024. One clear message from patients was that booking smear tests needed to be easier. In response, a direct booking line to the 7-Day GP Service was introduced, alongside more flexible appointment times, making it simpler and more convenient to attend

Why Do You Need Cervical Screening?
Cervical Screening is important, cervical cancer doesn’t always show symptoms at first. Screening can spot changes in the cervix before they turn into cancer. This means screening can save lives.
If you’re aged 25-64, you’ll get an invite every five years. Or more often if you have HPV. If you’ve had a reminder, now’s the time to book.
